Cube has specifically designed this model to smooth out the rough edges of poor road surfaces without losing valuable energy. With its comfortable geometry, it lets you sit a tiny bit more upright than on a pure racing bike, meaning you are less likely to experience back or neck strain. The carbon fork and slender rear stays absorb road vibrations remarkably well, making this bike suitable for long tours, weekly club rides and daily rides over varied terrain.

• C:62® Carbon Fibre technology: Not all carbon is the same. By increasing the proportion of high-quality "high modulus" fibres and reinforcing the resin with special nano particles, Cube ensures that this frame is ultra- strong, ultra-stiff and yet lightweight.

• Advanced Twin Mould: During the carbon moulding process, Cube uses an extremely precise mould on both the outside and inside of the frame. This ensures that no excess material or creases remain on the inside, resulting in a stronger, lighter frame.

• Advanced Internal Cable Routing: Thanks to the integrated cockpit, all brake and gear cables run directly into the inner tubes via the headset. This prevents wear caused by dirt and moisture and also looks incredibly sleek.

• Integrated storage box option: Beneath the top tube are discreet mounting points that allow you to screw on a special frame bag (optional) with tools and spare inner tubes without affecting the bike's aerodynamics or causing any rattling.

• Bottle cages and water bottles, so you can carry enough water, thirst-quenchers and/or energy drinks.

• Bike tools: Allen keys to straighten your handlebars and adjust the saddle height.

The Cube Attain C:62 Race is prepared for the road by our mechanics in the workshop and carefully packed for dispatch (home delivery is available in the Netherlands and Belgium). Once the box has been delivered to your home, all you need to do is adjust the saddle to the correct height and fit the pedals.

As this is a carbon bike, it is crucial that you use a torque wrench for all assembly and adjustment jobs. To prevent damage to the carbon, never tighten the screws of the stem or the integrated seatpost clamp beyond the specified maximum (often 5 or 6 Nm, as indicated on the components or in the manual)! Does this seem a bit daunting to you? If you collect your bike from the Mantel Superstores in Arnhem, Den Bosch, Rotterdam or Utrecht, we will adjust the saddle height and fit the pedals for you.

• Find the ideal tyre pressure: The 32 mm Continental Grand Prix tyres offer plenty of volume. For maximum comfort and grip, don’t over-inflate them: Depending on your body weight, a pressure of 4.5 - 5.5 bar is usually more than enough.

• Use carbon paste: If, over time, your seatpost starts to make a clicking noise or slowly sinks, remove it, clean it and apply a new, thin layer of carbon assembly paste. Never use standard bearing grease for this.

• Keep your Attain's paintwork looking as good as new: Clean the carbon frame regularly with a mild bike cleaner and apply a protective bike wax or spray. This makes dirt and mud less likely to stick to the paintwork, and makes the frame much quicker to wipe clean after a ride in wet conditions.

• Lubricate the chain regularly: The chain and cassette perform best when they are clean and well-lubricated. After a ride in the rain, dry the chain thoroughly and apply a high-quality chain wax or chain lube. If you use wax, you must first degrease the new chain completely. This is because a new chain is lubricated with oil as standard, which is incompatible with wax.

• Keep the brakes clean: Clean the disc brake rotors regularly with a brake cleaner to prevent squeaking and maintain optimal braking power. Make sure no lubricants get onto the brake pads.
